Zimbabwe Casinos

The act of living in Zimbabwe is somewhat of a risk at the moment, so you may envision that there would be little appetite for supporting Zimbabwe’s casinos. In reality, it seems to be operating the opposite way, with the awful market conditions leading to a higher eagerness to bet, to try and find a quick win, a way out of the situation.

For most of the people surviving on the meager nearby wages, there are 2 popular types of gaming, the state lotto and Zimbet. As with almost everywhere else on the globe, there is a national lottery where the chances of winning are unbelievably low, but then the winnings are also unbelievably large. It’s been said by market analysts who study the situation that many don’t purchase a ticket with a real assumption of profiting. Zimbet is centered on one of the national or the United Kingston soccer leagues and involves predicting the results of future matches.

Zimbabwe’s gambling halls, on the other shoe, look after the astonishingly rich of the society and travelers. Until a short while ago, there was a very substantial tourist business, founded on nature trips and visits to Victoria Falls. The economic collapse and connected bloodshed have cut into this trade.

Amongst Zimbabwe’s gambling dens, there are 2 in the capital, Harare, the Carribea Bay Resort and Casino, which has five gaming tables and slot machines, and the Plumtree gambling den, which has just the slot machine games. The Zambesi Valley Hotel and Entertainment Center in Kariba also has just slot machines. Mutare has the Monclair Hotel and Casino and the Leopard Rock Hotel and Casino, both of which offer gaming tables, one armed bandits and video machines, and Victoria Falls houses the Elephant Hills Hotel and Casino and the Makasa Sun Hotel and Casino, both of which has slot machines and table games.

In addition to Zimbabwe’s casinos and the aforementioned mentioned lottery and Zimbet (which is quite like a pools system), there are a total of 2 horse racing tracks in the country: the Matabeleland Turf Club in Bulawayo (the second city) and the Borrowdale Park in Harare.

Given that the market has shrunk by more than 40% in recent years and with the associated deprivation and violence that has come to pass, it isn’t understood how well the tourist industry which is the foundation for Zimbabwe’s gambling dens will do in the near future. How many of the casinos will carry through till things get better is simply unknown.
