Cambodia Casinos

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia gambling dens that lie just across the dividing line from nearby Thailand, in which gambling hall betting is against the law. Eight gambling halls are established in a generally small location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in a perfect location, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 largest gaming locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The amazing income gained from the gambling dens ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million dollars, and there are a couple of limitations constraints for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; still, financial sources are cryptic. The borders are officially open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and although visas are supposedly needed to pass, there are methods and means around this, as is accurate of many borders.

The original Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only one gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked bateau gambling den, highlights one hundred and fifty slot machines and sixty table games. The Naga gambling hall is open 24 hours with forty two tables of mini-baccarat banque, four tables of twenty-one, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown soon followed. There are one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 one armed bandits and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and 96 table games, including eighty seven baccarat banque (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and sixty six of the familiar table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the 8 gambling halls in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of a comprehensive resort and hotel compound that contains a number of conveniences aside from the gambling den, which contains ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machine games and eighty eight gaming tables.
